...Let's explain this briefly:
A keyword [or key phrase] is whatever word or phrase people type into the search box of any search engine or search site so as to find a particular item or information. For instance, if surfers want to search for a site that could give them information about how to cure acne, they may type in something like “how to cure acne” or “acne cure cream” and so on. These are keyphrases. But then they could also type in “acne” and expect to see a lot of the search results. "acne" in this case, is a keyword.

When browsing through their search results, surfers will naturally pay more attention to urls (ie web addresses) that have “acne” in them. This is because, they believe [rightly or wrongly] that these websites are most likely to have what they are looking for as against those that have some names that are not “acne” related.

The same is applicable if you want to sell other products and services be it jewellery, shoes, office cleaning, construction or web design. It is advantageous to use the main keyword in your product's or service's name as part of your domain.
Hence, if you plan to sell, or advice people about acne-related products, it may not help a lot if you name your domain something like www.yourpersonalname.com, or www.healthyasanything.com. I would think that a more appropriate name will be something like www.acneremedy.com, www.acneinfo.com or something along those lines.

This will make surfers to recognize your domain and your site as dealing with acne. If people are searching for anything with “acne” as the keyword, or part of the keyword and your url comes up in the search engine's result page, naturally, they will first click on your link, and all others which have “acne” as part of the domain name.

Though this is helpful, the inclusion of a keyword in your domain on its own does not sell your website to visitors. In fact even if you have such super cool domain names as cars.com, money.com, water.com, sex.com, etc., there is no guarantee that you will make any money if you do not market your website properly.
